Noel Gallagher Dublin Set List

Noel kicking it solo

Noel Gallagher played his first ever solo show with his group High Flying Birds at Olympia Theatre, Dublin, Ireland on October 2. Quite the historical night really - it was Noel's first set list since the demise of Oasis and it featured a wise selection of Oasis singles and b-sides mixed with his new songs from his debut album (which went number one in the UK and Irish charts this week - promptly outselling Liam's Beady Eye record).

I would imagine it was with a very deliberate action that Noel's song choice to open his set was (It's Good) To Be Free - a sure reference to the solo road he has taken.

If I had a Gun Lyrics Noel Gallagher

If I had a Gun Lyrics Noel Gallagher

While leaked to the internet years ago, no one had any idea that If I had a gun would feature on Noel's High Flying Birds album - his debut solo record.

If I had a Gun follows the singles What a Life and The Death of you and me

Lyrics:

If I had a gun, I'd shoot a hole into the sun, and love would burn this
city down for you.

If I had the time, I'd stop the world and make you mine, and everyday would stay the same with you.

Aaaahhh
Aaaahhh

Give you back the dream, and show you now what might have been, if all the
Tears you cry would fade away.
I'll be by your side, when they come to say goodbye, we will live to fight another day.

'Scuse me if I spoke too soon, my eyes have always followed you around the
Room. 'Cos you're the only God that I will ever need, I'm holding on and
Waiting for the moment to find me.

Aaaahhh
Aaaahhh
Aaaahhh
Aaaahhh

Hope I didn't speak too soon, my eyes have always followed you around the
Room. 'Cus you're the only God that I will ever need, I'm holding on and
Waiting for the moment for my heart to be unbroken by the sea.

Aaahh Aaaahhh
Aaahh Aaahh
Aaaahhh Aaahh
Aaahh Aaahh

Let me fly you to the moon, my eyes have always followed you around the
Room. 'Cos you're the only God that I will never need, I'm holding on and
Waiting for the moment to find me.

Aaaahhh
Aaaahhh

If I had a gun, I'd shoot a hole into the sun, and love would burn this city down for you.

What a Life Lyrics Noel Gallagher

What a Life! Lyrics Noel Gallagher

The second single of Noel's debut solo album, High Flying Birds - the first single was The Death of Us. The video for What a Life features British drunk and comedian, Russel Brand whom Noel has become could friends with in recent years.

Lyrics of AKA What a Life!

Someday you might find your hero
Some say you might lose your mind
I keeping my head down now for the summer
I'm outta my mind let me pull the other
I'm gonna take that tiger outside for a ride

What a life!
What a life!

Keep on chasing down that rainbow
You'll never know what you might find
Over the sunset on the horizon
Maybe you dream but it tastes like poison
I'm gonna take that tiger outside for a ride

What a life!
What a life!
What a life!
What a life!

What a life!
What a life!
What a life!
What a life!

Someday you might find your hero
Some say you might lose your mind

The Death of You and Me Lyrics Noel Gallagher

The Death of You and Me Lyrics Noel Gallagher

This song is the first single of Noel's solo career following the demise of Oasis. The song peaked at number 15 on the UK charts. The single was featured on the High Flying Birds album.

Lyrics

High tide
Summer in the city
The kids are looking pretty
But isn't it a pity that the sunshine
Is followed by thunder?
With thoughts of going under
And is it any wonder

Why the sea's
Been calling out to me?
I seem to spend my whole life running
From people who could be
The death of you and me
'Cause I can feel the storm clouds sucking up my soul
High tide
Life is getting faster
And no one has the answer
I try to face the day down in a new way
The bottom of a bottle
Is every man's apostle
Let's run away together

You and me
Forever we'd be free
Free to spend our whole lives running
From people who would be
The death of you and me
'Cause I can feel the storm clouds
Sucking up my soul

Let's run away to sea
Forever we'd be free
Free to spend our whole lives running
From people who would be
The death of you and me
'Cause I can feel the storm clouds coming

I'm watching my TV,
Or is it watching me?
I see another new day dawning
It's rising over me
And my mortality
And I can feel the storm clouds
Sucking up my soul

Speak of Mortal things, we wonder if Noel has read any of the Books from the Mortal Engines series? A Darkling Plain perhaps?

Beady Eye Debut Gig Set List

Beady Eye made their live debut in Glasgow, Scotland on March 3.

The post-Oasis band played their new tunes for just over an hour to a packed crowd at the Glasgow's Barrowlands venue.

The best thing is that Beady Eye's first song ever played live to a public crowd was 'Four Letter Word', played shortly after 9pm (GMT).

They followed it with a set list made up largely of tracks from their new album 'Different Gear, Still Speeding'. Before playing debut single 'Bring The Light', Gallagher did talk to the crowd, saying: "Right, I reckon it's time to get off the fence, yeah? Because I've seen a few of you sitting on it."

The band ended their set with their cover of World Of Twist's 'Sons Of The Stage'. Gallagher thanked the crowd for "coming along and checking it out" before leaving the stage.

So nothing as riotous as Liam and company have had in the past but it sounds like the band has got themselves off to a decent start.

Beady Eye Set List

'Four Letter Word'
'Beatles And Stones'
'Millionaire'
'For Anyone'
'The Roller'
'Wind Up Dream'
'Bring The Light'
'Standing On The Edge Of The Noise'
'Kill For A Dream'
'Three Ring Circus'
'Man Of Misery'
'The Beat Goes On'
'The Morning Sun'
'Sons Of The Stage'
