Noel Gallagher to perform 22 minute loing version of Falling Down

NOEL GALLAGHER TO PERFORM 'FALLING DOWN' REMIX WITH AMORPHOUS ANDROGYNOUS

22 August 2009

Noel is set to hook up with the psychedelic band Amorphous Androgynous to perform their epic re-working of 'Falling Down' on September 17th at Matter in London. Their 5-part, 22 minute remix of 'Falling Down' was released earlier in the year as a B-Side to the Oasis single and received great reviews.

Readers of Noel's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' will be familiar with the band as upon finding their album last year he wrote, 'If you're wondering what to ask Santa for x.mas, ask him for an album called "A Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble Exploding In Your Mind (Vol 1. Space Rock)".

It's a compilation album by someone called "The Amorphous Androgynous" (I'd hazard a guess that's a made-up name). I've had it on in the dressing room for a month now. It's one of the best things I've ever, ever heard. Go and find it NOW! It'll blow your tiny little minds.

This special, one-off performance is to celebrate the release of Amorphous Androgynous' new album 'Vol 2 - Pagan Love Vibrations' which will be available to buy from 26th October.

Classic 70s space-rock pioneers Hawkwind are also set to perform so it's sure to be a very special gig!

Here's the single's cover art:

The brand new Noel Gallagher-penned song 'Those Swollen Hand Blues' features as new Oasis b-side, a first for the Dig Out Your Soul releases, which have all been remixes so far.

Falling Down will be physically released on March 9 2009 and digitally a day earlier.

The Prodigy have smacked the bitch of a track into a new sound whilst Marilyn Manson bassist Twiggy and Dave Sardy, who previously collaborated on a remix of 'I'm Outta Time', have created a new dance-floor filler! Like wow man, an Oasis dance track. We are thrilled....

Here's the video which isn't too shabby:

Falling Down Lyrics Oasis Dig Out Your Soul

Falling Down is Oasis main man Noel Gallagher saying to the world,"Remember me? I'm the guy that wrote the music and lyrics to hits such as Don't Look Back in Anger and Supersonic. I'm the king of the world b'arch and this lil ditty  proves it!"

Ah yes that's the Manchurian attitude, but you really came for Falling Down Lyrics.

Falling Down Lyrics, written by Noel Gallagher, recorded by Oasis for Dig Out Your Soul.

The summer sun,
It blows my mind,
It's falling down on all that I've ever known,
Time'll kiss the world goodbye,
Falling down on all that I've ever known,
Is all that I've ever known.

A dying scream,
Makes no sound,
Calling out to all that I've ever known,
Here am I, lost and found,
Calling out to all...

We live a dying dream,
If you know what I mean,
All that I've ever known,
It's all that I've ever known.

Catch the wheel that breaks the butterfly,
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide,
I tried to talk to God to no avail,
Calling my name, and out of nowhere,
I said "If you won't save me, please don't waste my time"

(Is all that I've ever known...)

Catch the wind that breaks the butterfly,
I cried the rain that fills the ocean wide,
I tried to talk to God to no avail,
Calling my name, and out of nowhere,
I said "If you won't save me, please don't waste my time"

The summer sun,
It blows my mind,
It's falling down on all that I've ever known,
Time'll kiss the world goodbye,
Falling down on all that I've ever known,
Is all that I've ever known.
